Visiting Professor

Dr Alejandro Luque Suárez is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Málaga and holds a PhD in Health Sciences, with training in physiotherapy and anthropology. He has built up an extensive academic, teaching and research career in the field of physiotherapy and health sciences, teaching on both undergraduate and postgraduate university programmes.
His research focuses primarily on persistent musculoskeletal pain and the analysis of the biomechanical, psychological and social factors that influence its progression and treatment. She is the author of numerous scientific publications in high-impact international journals and has a distinguished research profile in the field of chronic pain and physiotherapy.
Furthermore, he has combined his research activity with clinical experience and knowledge transfer tasks, as well as participation in international research projects and placements. His work is characterised by a multidisciplinary approach aimed at a comprehensive understanding of pain and the improvement of patients’ quality of life.
