Higher Level Vocational Training Program in Physical Conditioning

About

This program prepares to our students to design, coordinate, develop, and evaluate physical conditioning programs for all types of users and in various practice environments. It aims to energize activities and direct them towards improving quality of life and health, ensuring safety, and applying quality criteria both in the process and in the outcomes of the service.

The duration of the program is 2,000 hours, distributed over two academic years.

There is a connection to EUSES and the innovative teaching methodologies of the university.

Additionally, there are more than 150 internship agreements in the field of physical activity and sports.

Access

People having some of the following requirements can access directly to the program:

• Have the high school diploma or equivalent
• Have a Vocational Education and Training diploma (VET) or a Certificate of Higher Education (HNC)
• Professional or technical specialist
• Have any Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Having passed the university entrance test for over 25 years

People not having any of the aforementioned requirements must pass an entrance test. In order to apply, it is necessary be aged 19 years old or turn 19 during the year in which the test will take place.

Objectives

The following aspects characterize the training of students in the Higher Level Vocational Training Program in Physical Conditioning:

• Coherently relating the various elements and factors of a physical conditioning project, justifying the consistency among them to develop physical conditioning plans.
• Propose actions in the field of physical conditioning related to health and quality of life for citizens, characterizing the target groups and incorporating some advancements to develop physical conditioning plans.
• Determine the tools and the sequence of application in the evaluation of physical conditioning plans, using information and communication technologies to manage the variables and to develop and record the evaluation plan.
• Sequencing the actions to be taken in the implementation of a project, organizing the necessary resources and their acquisition methods to manage the launch of physical conditioning programs and events.
• Applying evaluation techniques and tools, linking them to the type of data intended to assess physical condition, motor skills, and participant motivations in physical conditioning programs.
• Establishing the elements of the program, resources, and training systems, linking them to the characteristics of the potential of the group involved, to plan physical conditioning in a multipurpose training room and in the aquatic environment.
• Establishing the elements of programming, resources, and specific methodology, relating them to the characteristics of the potential groups involved, to program physical conditioning with musical support.
• Establishing the elements of programming, resources, and specific methodology, relating them to the characteristics of potential participants, to program activities focused on postural control, well-being, functional maintenance, and hydrokinetics.

Internship

Centre Garbí offers its students a network of over 100 centers and organizes internships for its students in top-level fitness centers, personal and functional training centers, sports service companies, sports clubs or associations, tourism companies, and public sports organizations.

We remind you that the reservation of the place will only be considered effective once the payment of the pre-enrollment fee of 315 € has been validated. This payment must be made to the account number specified in the last section of the pre-enrollment form. It is very important that when making the transfer, you include the name and surname of the student and the name of the studies which are pre-enrolling. Once your place is confirmed in July, you will need to make a payment of 321 €* which corresponds to the enrollment fee.
